This has to be my absolute favorite project so far this year.
It was one of those projects that posed new technical/creative problems but were truly fun to figure out.
This was a fun one. National loved how the Red cameras performed on their Friskies commercial and wanted to use them again. I was stoked too. Was my first shoot using the Red camera setup.
After coming home from a nice 5 week vacation in Southeast Asia, I came back to LA and jumped over to National to help on this lil gem.
I was mostly there for some 3d support. The deadline was a little hairy and the boys needed some backup.
I worked on the initial oil drop, grass duties, the kite, hot air balloon, and lighting/rendering.
Summer of ’07 was my first time back to Stardust since 2003-ish. Amy Kaufman from Stardust inticed me with this project. Seeing how my wife and I are HUGE tennis fanatics ( Honor’s tennis blog ), I was easily convinced in driving all the way to the west side for this one.

This was another fun project with National. Involved National concepting probably 30+ different vignettes representing 60′s- 70′s nostaligia for the mini-van.
I supervised the car shoot for the end section and lead the 3d team.
I made the lava lamp opener with Realflow, the oil section, the disco rearview mirror, and tracked the Nav screen with BouJou.

This was one of those “turbo” projects that was conceptualized, animated, and finished within 8 or 9 days at National.

This was the first iteration of the Narnia teaser trailers and graphics. This is my favorite version of the marketing campaign i made for Imaginary Forces. Unfortunately the final campaign got watered down or completely abbreviated.
I created the forest, lamp, cloud transition, mountains, snow shader, frozen lake shader, and composited a bulk of the animation.
I believe this was my buddy Brian Mah’s first art directed pieces at Imaginary Forces.

This was one of those trial by fire jobs. It was definitely one of the craziest jobs, in terms of sheer hours put in for a 2.5-3 week deadline. Worked with Rob Bolick, Greg Reynard, Robin Roepstoerff, Stefan, and a few others i can’t seem to remember.
